Because this Deadly Habit is Sending You
To An Early Grave
Unless
you’ve been hiding under a rock your whole life, you already
know that cigarette smoking is the single most damaging
activity you can do to your health.
And
without your health, you don’t have a life. Case closed.
Here
are a few alarming facts you may, or may not be aware
of:

An estimated 440,000 Americans died prematurely
of smoking every year
from 1995 through 2002.
•
1 in 5 smokers die early
because of his or her smoking.
•
Cigarette smoking kills more
people each year than alcohol, AIDS, illegal drugs, car crashes,
fires, murders, and suicides combined.
•
Someone dies every 72 seconds
from smoking
•
Cigarette smokers run 2 to 4 times the
risk of cardiac arrest!
•
Smoking costs - to the tune of at least
$150 billion each year in health
care costs and lost productivity in the U.S. alone.
To
make matters worse, here’s a picture of a set of lungs
from a smoker (left) and one from a non-smoker (right). This
is only one example of the horrific damage cigarette smoking
does to your body.
Which
set of lungs would you rather have?
The
statistics, warning signs, and hazards of cigarette smoking
are swarming all over you like bees to honey, yet you’re
still lighting up.
Why?
Let’s
face it…
If
it were a matter of just wanting to do it, you would
have stopped already, wouldn’t you? But you know there’s
more to it than just wishing it were true. A WHOLE lot more.
There
are lots of ways for you to TRY and quit, but the harsh reality
is most of these other programs only work for a select
few.
Doesn’t
this all point to the cold reality that with all the people
who WANT to quit, but haven’t DESPITE the serious health
risks involved, that there’s a HUGE problem here?
